Why You Should Be a Heimlich Heroes™ Trainer

You don't need a degree, certificate, or any official training to be a Heimlich Heroes trainer? anyone can do it!

Heimlich Heroes is a Cincinnati based nonprofit that trains people how to recognize, respond to, and prevent a choking emergency. Our organization works hard to make sure you don't have to.

We want everyone to learn how to save a life! Here's why you should be a Heimlich Heroes trainer:

Being a Trainer is... Easy!
If you're a teacher, nurse, youth organization leader, parent, coach or an adult that works with children, you can and should be a Heimlich Heroes trainer! Our boxed training kit ships to you...it's that easy!

When you register your school, group, or youth organization we equip you with the necessary tools for a successful training day.

We provide everything you need from beginning to end. Check out our trainer resources:

  • A Getting Started Packet with step-by-step instructions for before, during and after your training event.
  • Access to our Trainer Resource page filled with quick resource guides, the Getting Started Packet, posters, everyday hero stories, pre- and post-tests, and station-style activities.
  • Student Training Video with age appropriate note taking tools.

Being a Trainer is...Impactful!
Being a Heimlich Heroes trainer means you're teaching kids how to save a life. Your role is important to our mission. To date, through leaders like you, our organization has trained more than 80,000 kids across the nation.

We couldn't reach this number of kids without your help. Our goal is to eliminate preventable choking deaths by preparing young people to both recognize and respond to such an emergency. To reach this goal, we need you.

With a little preparation and a lot of passion, you can have a fun and educational training event. Anyone can be a Heimlich Heroes trainer!
