Celebrating Heimlich Heroes™ Week
We Honor Young Heroes across the Nation

We're "Spreading the News" about the expanding growth and outreach of Deaconess Heimlich Heroes with our annual media campaign. This year's campaign, "Life-Saving Children's Program Honors Young Heroes across the Nation" kicks off during National Heimlich Heroes Week, October 3-7. This year's campaign features:

An Initiative of Deaconess Associations, Inc., the program has been taught in 48 states and trained nearly 40,000 young people to date. Heimlich Heroes is expanding rapidly to meet the need and 2016 saw the addition of a Spanish version of the training, a Train-the Trainer Webinar for the leaders, an additional Resource Page for the leaders, and added inventory with three new diverse looks to the training dolls!

Through DAI's generosity, the program continues to be offered free of charge through 2016. Aimed at kids from the second grade up, schools, kids clubs and youth organizations have eagerly embraced and successfully administered training classes.
